WASHINGTON, October 25, 2026 — President Donald Trump has raised the possibility of launching another military operation against Iran as early as Sunday, sending a fresh warning to Tehran while keeping negotiations on the table.

Speaking to reporters in Florida on Saturday, Trump was asked whether Washington was preparing another attack.

"Maybe tomorrow," Trump responded, acknowledging the possibility of military action while suggesting the two countries could still reach a major agreement.

The remarks follow Trump's Friday warning that the United States might carry out another operation similar to its earlier military campaign, known as Operation Epic Fury.

However, the latest threat appears to contradict his October 8 statement, when Trump explicitly promised that the United States would not attack Iran before the November 3 midterm elections.

The reversal in rhetoric comes as negotiations over Iran's nuclear program, the U.S. naval blockade and the Strait of Hormuz remain unresolved.

Trump claims Tehran wants an agreement but has questioned whether Iranian leaders would honor its terms.

Meanwhile, conflicting reports about a potential Iranian proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz have further complicated the diplomatic picture.

For financial markets, the stakes are substantial.

Renewed strikes could threaten energy infrastructure and shipping routes, potentially pushing crude oil prices higher and increasing inflation concerns.

With major technology earnings, U.S. GDP data, inflation figures and a Federal Reserve decision scheduled for next week, geopolitical escalation could add another layer of uncertainty for investors.

Trump has not announced a final decision or confirmed that an attack will take place.
