President Donald Trump warned that the United States may need to attack Iran's heavily fortified Pickaxe Mountain nuclear site, raising fresh concerns about tensions in the Middle East.
In an interview with Newsmax, Trump said the U.S. was considering a strike on the underground facility to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
"We may have to go there. We'll take a shot at that one," Trump said.
Trump also ruled out using nuclear weapons or sending American ground troops into Iran.
