Wall Street finally found some relief on October 26.

The Nasdaq climbed approximately 0.8%, while the S&P 500 gained 0.7%, ending a period of pressure on major stock indexes.

But several important risks remain unresolved.

AI companies are spending unprecedented amounts on data centers, advanced chips and computing capacity.

Meanwhile, elevated energy prices and borrowing costs are making those investments more expensive.

Investors are also waiting for earnings from some of America's largest technology companies and Wednesday's Federal Reserve decision.

Strong corporate earnings could help restore confidence.

But if companies announce even larger spending plans without convincing investors of future returns, selling pressure could return.

For now, Wall Street has enjoyed a rebound. Whether that becomes a lasting recovery remains uncertain.
